Born and raised in Kawasaki, south of Tokyo. Completed interpretation and translation courses in interpreter training institutes. Worked in the production department of a convention organizing company and a German ad agency. Obtained a guide license while working as a freelance technical translator.

• Appreciating pictures and movies, esp. Japanese films from the 40’s through the 60’s
• Listening to a wide variety of music. Played the brass instruments in youth
• Enjoying theatrical entertainments, esp. rakugo comical storytelling performance
• Shooting the photos
• Taking a bike ride
• Talking with pet parakeets
