Background

Born and raised in Toyama prefecture which is famous for the best quality of rice production in Japan, blessed by Mother Nature with abundant natural resources in the world, fresh firefly squid and one of the happiest prefecture in Japan. After graduating from a university in Kyoto, joined Tokyo Head Office of a major foreign exchange bank. Later, back in Kyoto, I worked at a publishing company as an editor. Acquired the national license of interpreter-guide in English in 1985. Married, with2 children.

Specialties and Hobbies

  • Cooking...I have been studying for 20 years under a disciple of Mr. Masaru Doi, who was one of the most famous chefs in Japan and was seeking various kinds of home cooking with fresh ingredients of each season. Finding something delicious is my hobby.

  • Acquired licenses for Kimono fitter, and the 2nd grade certificate for “Kyoto Experts” issued by the Kyoto Chamber of Commerce.
